Akilam Academy Research Foundation
The Akilam Academy of Research Foundation is located in a serene atmosphere in 14/14-1, Manalivilai, Mondaikadu post, Kanyakumari district, Tamilnadu and was established by SEETHALEKSHMI T in the year 2024 for imparting education in various fields of studies which include ‘Religious Education’ with thrust mainly on Ayya Vazhi, the struggle for social equality and human rights by Ayya Vaikundar who was the incarnate of Lord Vishnu in human form and who established Ayya Vazhi.

Complete knowledge on Sanathan Dharma, Lord Vaikundar an avatar of Lord Narayana, Vedic text Holy Akilathirattu Ammanai. The course is conducted everyday night through online classes and offline classes are also conducted in the Pathis called Temples of Ayya Vazhi over week ends. On successful completion of the course, a… DIPLOMA, UG DEGREE ,PG DEGREE is awarded to the successful students in the same course. The course provide opportunity to the students to analyse their true self, to walk in the path of godliness, to bring reforms in the society and development of the nation. We are the first and only Academy who successfully impart religious education on the teachings of Ayya Vazhi and on Ayya Vaikundar, the incarnate of Lord Vishnu, who spearheaded the social awareness movement in southern part of India.
Future Vision
This Academy intends to built state of the art infrastructure to support specialised research activities on the life and teachings of Ayya Vaikundar, the importance of the sacred book Akilathirattu Ammanai which portray the life of Ayya Vaikundar, the social and political atmosphere which prevailed over centuries in the southern parts of India which necessitated the emergence of Ayya Vaikundar, Ayya Vazhi etc. So far, this area has not been properly researched to bring out the entire historical facts and findings since rare pieces of interesting information recorded in documents beginning from British era are reportedly scattered in different states and those connected with Ayya Vaikundar.
In this direction we are taking steps to get Akilam Academy of Research Foundation affiliated with some renowned university to facilitate get grants from the Govt bodies for pursuing specialized program and research oriented activities on Ayya Vaikundar.
